Still Life Drawings
My work is developed from drawings made directly from decorative Still Life groups. I work on board using wax, emulsion paint and ink. I use Indian ink which I like for its permanence when dry, and capacity to be partly washed away when wet. I build up my drawings in successive layers to create illusions of space, both real and reflected, and positive and negative marks.
The drawings are large, between A1 an A2 in size
